We provide a fundraising platform through Our website and mobile application (together called “Platform”) where individuals, underserved communities amongst others can raise funds for their various needs across Africa. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains and governs how We collect, use, share and protect information collected from Our Users.

This Privacy Policy applies to your access to Our Platforms and Services (collectively, “Our “Services”) and to all forms of systems, operations and processes within Our environment that involve the collection, storage, use, transmission and disposal of Personal Information. By using any part of Our Services, you acknowledge the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as outlined in this policy and how your personal information is collected, used by Us.

The Platform provides information about Lemonraise Tech Ltd, and explains how Users can post a fundraiser campaign, accept monetary donations and details of other related services offered by Lemonraise Tech Ltd.

  • “User” means any person that uses the Website, Mobile application or Services of Lemonraise which includes: Organisers, Fundraisers, Donors, Beneficiaries, Comment contributors etc.

As part of Our operations, We collect and process certain types of information such as: name, telephone numbers, address, National Identification Number (NIN), PIN, email address, etc. of individuals that makes them easily identifiable. These individuals include current, past and prospective registered users, prospective users, any and all other persons that in one way or the other interact with our Platform (“Users”) and other individuals whom we communicate or deal with, jointly and/or severally.

To use Our Services, you will be required and hereby undertake to voluntarily provide Us with certain Personal Information.   • Prevent, detect and manage risk against misinformation, wrong use and illegal activities using internal and third-party screening tools;
  • Send you marketing content, newsletters and service updates curated by Us, however, We will provide you with an option to unsubscribe if you do not want to hear from Us;
  • Verify your identity and the information you provide in line with Our statutory obligations using internal and third-party tools;
  • Maintain up-to-date records;
  • Resolve disputes that may arise, including investigations by law enforcement or regulatory bodies and for
  • Any other purpose that we disclose to you while providing Our Services to you.

When you use Our Platform to organise a fundraiser, you will be required to provide information about your state of residence or location. Please note that other users of the Services can view your location or state of residence in connection with the fundraiser.

We limit Personal Information collection and usage to data that is relevant, adequate, and absolutely necessary for carrying out the purpose for which the data is processed. We will evaluate whether and to what extent the processing of Personal Information is necessary and where the purpose allows, anonymized data will be used.

We use cookies to identify you as a User and make your user experience easier, customise Our Services, content and advertising and where applicable help you ensure that your account security is not compromised.   • The transfer and processing is necessary to conclude a contract between Us and a third party in your interest;
  • The transfer and processing is necessary for reason of public interest;
  • The transfer and processing is for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
  • The transfer and processing is necessary to protect your vital interests or that of other persons, where you are physically or legally incapable of giving consent;

9. USERS FROM OUTSIDE NIGERIA

Our Platform is hosted in Nigeria. If you are visiting Our Platform from outside Nigeria, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored and processed in Nigeria where our servers are located and our central database is operated. The data protection and other applicable Laws in Nigeria may not be as comprehensive as those in your country.
